An extremely talented cricketer, Andy Bichel has been more unlucky in test cricket than what his ever smiling eyes testify. Andy Bichel was one of the key players for Australia in the 2003 World Cup. He along with Michael Bevan contributed the most to help Australia achieve success in its 2003 world campaign.
When Andy Bichel was dropped from the side in 2003-04, everyone except Bichel himself saw it as the end of his test career. Andy Bichel then took on domestic cricket by storm. In 2004-05, Andy Bichel scored 452 runs and took 50 wickets, an effort which won him the Pura Player of the Year award.
Andy Bichel's exclusion from the test squad has certainly benefited Queensland, for whom he plays first class cricket. He continues to give his best for his side and looks very much like a man who has much to prove before he quits.
