The youngest centurion in the world, an immensely talented player and a real stroke player, young Mohammad Ashraful is indeed a player to watch out. By scoring his maiden Test century in 2001 against Sri Lanka, not only did he rewrite history, but also gave a lot of color to an otherwise dead and one sided match. He continued his good performance with brilliant innings, one after the other. He scored a massive 158 against India, and then made 100 to take Bangladesh to a historic win over Australia at Cardiff in 2005. He then scored an unbelievable 94 from just 52 balls against England, followed by 136 against Sri Lanka.
However, to the dismay of many, he has lost his touch of late, failing miserable on many occasions. He lost his place in the squad, and after returning, could not revive the magic with his bat. However, with a proven pool of talent, it is obvious that Mohammad Ashraful will bounce back very soon.
