Angus Fraser was been underrated as a good fast bowler, inspite of the fact that he was England's most consistent bowler in his heyday. Angus Fraser made his debut against the Australians at Birmingham in 1989.
Angus Fraser had a conventional approach to the wicket. He would concentrate on the off stump region and entice the bats men to nick an edge.
Angus Fraser was particularly effective in the West Indies, where he found the bouncy wickets extremely conducive to his style. In the 1993-94 series against the West Indies at Barbados, Angus Fraser picked up 8 for 75 to push the opposition into defeat. He performed an encore in 1997-98 series against the same team, this time picking up his career best 8 for 53.
Angus Fraser's 177 test wickets came from 46 test matches. After his retirement from first class cricket in 2002, Angus Fraser took up the job as a cricket correspondent with The Independent.
