Wisden Cricketer of the Year 1895 C.B. Fry made a name for himself when he scored six consecutive centuries in first class cricket. He averaged 50 in his first class career, a stupendous achievement since in his days matches were not as high scoring as they are today. He was also an effective bowler and finished his first class career of 394 matches with 166 wickets. C.B. Fry captained England and Mother Country and never lost against his captaincy.
