Everton Weekes was famously a part of the "W" trio along with Clyde Walcott and Frank Worrell who made their debut together in 1948 against England. Everton Weekes was a brilliant batsman who used to let his bat do most of the talking. He set a world record of five consecutive Test centuries in 1948-'49, and almost made a sixth one too had he not been run out a few runs short. He almost had a habit of making consecutive centuries and made three such against New Zealand in 1956. Everton Weekes is also remembered for being in a record third wicket partnership of 338 with Frank Worrell, a West Indian record that still stands. He played a total of 152 Tests and scored 12010 at an amazing average of 55.34. He retired in 1958 and later served as an ICC Match Referee.
