Undoubtedly Zimbabwe's best bowler, Heath Streak had a long and successful international career where he emerged as Zimbabwe's premium strike bowler. Having made his debut against Pakistan in 1993, he made a mark instantly by picking up 8 wickets in the second Test at Rawalpindi. He was adjourned man of the series after taking 22 wickets in the Test series. In Pakistan's next tour of Zimbabwe in 1995, Heath Streak again put up a great show and claimed career best figures of 6 for 90 in the first Test in Harare.
Heath Streak is the only Zimbabwean to have taken 100 wickets in both versions of the game. He has been a consistent player and often a lone fighter in an otherwise weak team. In 1995 by playing alongside his father in a domestic match, they became the first father-son duo to play together in over 30 years.
A bitter spat with the board led to Heath Streak's ouster from the Zimbabwean side. He has since played county cricket in England and in 2006 was appointed skipper of Warwickshire.
